ABS was founded in 1970 by its chairman and managing director, Bob Culbert, as Aldridge Brake Services, to provide a local service relining brake shoes.

* The company has grown to become a leading distributor of commercial vehicle and trailer parts.

* Operating from five main centres.

* Serving the North from Burton upon Trent, West Midlands from Aldridge, the South from Coventry and Northampton.

* Distribution is carried out by their own vehicle fleet controlled locally by each branch. All vehicles are fitted with tracking devices to monitor deliveries.

* The company specialise in supplying Trailerparts- Truckparts - Road Tanker and Braking systems. These parts include lighting, fifth wheel, security cameras, safety equipment, air suspension and braking equipment.

*They also have stock holdings around the UK.

* The company has also in recent months started exporting to other EC countries.

* They supply only leading brand name products, in many cases by the same manufacturers who supply the product to vehicle manufacturers as original equipment.
